When is Pride Month in Australia?

Pride Month is June. The dates don't shift around: 1 June to 30 June, same every year. Most workplaces run their celebrations across the whole month, though the first two weeks tend to be the busiest as teams come back from the long weekend and HR locks in plans.

More Australian businesses are marking the month with office morning teas, branded treats, and visible support for their LGBTQIA+ team. Here's the practical guide.

Why Aussie businesses celebrate Pride Month

This isn't only a big-corporate thing. Plenty of smaller Aussie businesses run Pride Month moments now, and the reasons are practical rather than political.

For LGBTQIA+ colleagues, seeing their workplace publicly acknowledge Pride sends a clear signal they belong. Inclusive workplaces also do measurably better at recruiting and keeping people. Talent in Australia knows which employers stay silent and which don't. Customers notice too, particularly under 35.

The bar isn't activism. It's basic visibility. For most companies, June is the month when DEI commitments either show up in real life or they don't.

How to host an inclusive office Pride morning tea

The morning tea has become the default office Pride format for a reason. Everyone eats. Nobody is required to stand up and share. You can run one for a 10-person team or a 300-person all-hands without changing the basic shape of it.

A few principles worth following:

  • Pair the food with something meaningful. Five minutes of reflection, a donation match to Minus18, ACON or Equality Australia, or an LGBTQIA+ guest speaker each take the moment past just snacks.
  • Ask LGBTQIA+ team members if they want to help plan. Asking is good. Tasking is not.
  • Run it at every office, not just HQ. A half-hearted gesture at headquarters that ignores your Brisbane or Perth teams reads worse than doing nothing at all.
  • Skip the rainbow logo update if that's all you do. The morning tea is one piece of a bigger commitment, not a substitute for one.

Pride treats to order for the office

Different teams want different things. Here's what's in the Pride range.

  • Pride Cupcakes: vanilla and chocolate with white buttercream, rainbow sprinkles and Pride-themed edible discs. Pack sizes for teams from 12 to over 100.
  • Vegan Pride Cupcakes: fully plant-based, buttercream included. Worth picking as the default for teams that include vegan colleagues.
  • Personalised Mini Pride Cupcakes: minis scale to 288 per box, which makes them right for whole-company morning teas, conferences, or multi-floor offices. You can add your logo.
  • Personalised Pride Donuts: same idea but in donut form. Pack sizes from 15 to 255.
  • Pride Brownie: one large loaded brownie with rainbow sprinkles and a Pride edible image. Good as an individual gift, or a thank-you for one colleague.
  • Pride Cookies: colourful sugar cookies, packs up to 390. Note the 48-hour notice. These are decorated fresh per order.

Everything is baked the morning of dispatch in our Melbourne kitchen. Browse the full Pride Collection for the lot.

Add your company logo with personalised Pride treats

If you want to combine Pride visibility with company branding, our personalised range prints your designs straight onto each cupcake, donut or cookie. You can upload up to 3 designs per order. The usual setup is your logo on some, the Pride flag on others, and an internal team message or thank-you on the rest. Small detail, but it stops the gesture feeling generic.

Two things on file uploads. We don't edit anything you send through, so check the crop before you hit submit. And avoid images with a majority black background, because the edible ink smudges. Transparent-background logos work best.

For office Pride events, most companies go with Personalised Pride Cupcakes, Personalised Vegan Pride Cupcakes, Personalised Mini Pride Cupcakes for bigger teams, or Personalised Pride Donuts.

Multi-site delivery for offices across Australia

Offices in multiple cities? Use the Multi Gift option at checkout. One order goes to multiple delivery addresses with one invoice and one set of personalisation files. Every office gets the same treats on the same day, and finance doesn't have to approve seven separate purchase orders.

Same-day delivery is available across Melbourne metro for orders placed by 1PM Monday to Friday. Outside Melbourne, orders placed by 1PM AEST Monday to Friday are dispatched the same day and take 1–3 business days to arrive. For very large multi-site orders, email hello@goldelucks.com.au and we'll work it out with you.

When to order for Pride Month

Pride products sell out as June approaches. Rough lead times to plan around:

  • Cupcakes, donuts and brownies: order by 1PM the day before your event. Melbourne can usually do same-day.
  • Sugar cookies: 48 hours minimum.
  • Bulk or branded orders: 5 business days at the very minimum. A week or two is safer.
  • Multi-site corporate orders: at least two weeks ahead.

If you're planning for next year's Pride Month, lock in a supplier by early May. Anything later and your shortlist starts shrinking.
